YEAR 10 TEXTILES

Year 10 Textiles worked incredibly well in challenging times this last semester. Not able to work on the Tote Bag CAT at home during online learning due to lack of resources, they focused on design work and investigations into sustainable practices in the textile and fashion industry.

When we returned to school it was all systems go to complete their beautiful Tote Bags, which they did admirably in such a short timeframe.

During Lockdown students created an illustration and Mood Board that could be used as embellishment on their Tote Bag. The company, Next State Print in North Melbourne, printed the illustrations and mood boards on canvas fabric in readiness for our return to school.

Some chose to use their hand drawn illustration which was imported into Adobe Illustrator and then printed, and others chose to use their printed mood board as decoration. I think you’ll agree, it was a great effort for a great outcome!
