Financial Assistance for Families

CAMPS, SPORTS & EXCURSIONS FUND (CSEF)

School camps provide children with inspiring experiences in the great outdoors, excursions encourage a deeper understanding of how the world works and sports teach teamwork, discipline and leadership.  All of which are part of a healthy curriculum.  CSEF allowance is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.

If you hold a valid means –tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF.  A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families.

The allowance is paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.

The CSEF payment cannot be used towards voluntary school charges, books, stationery, school uniforms, before/after school care, music lessons, or formals/graduations.

The annual CSEF amount per student is:

·         $125 for primary school students

·         $225 for secondary school students

WELCOME MORNING TEA 2021

School leadership hosted the inaugural welcome morning tea for new prep and year 7 families on Friday February 5th.

The rain didn’t deter families from attending. We had a fantastic turn out.

Hosted in the tranquil garden alongside the new stadium, families chatted to each other and to staff about their experiences during the first week back at our college.

We had so many interesting questions about our primary transition program, our secondary program and beyond that, the transition to the the Gasworks campus in year 11 and 12.

It is important for our current families to be able to visualise their child’s learning journey at Collingwood college. Showcasing different parts of our campus is an integral part of families gaining an insight to what we offer here.

Our aim is to provide an experience that takes the learner from Prep to year 12. It’s an exciting time at our college and we are thrilled to bring our new families along for this journey.

Thank you to everyone that attended. We look forward to many more gatherings with our school community.

Margaret Doucas

Primary Principal
