What is changing for our school?

As of 11:59pm on 3 February 2021 new statewide restrictions are in effect:

Face masks are mandatory in public indoor spaces. Face masks must be worn in indoor public spaces apart from when eating or drinking.
Teachers are not required to wear face mask while teaching

This means that:

You must always carry a face mask with you when you leave home unless you have a lawful reason not to.
It is strongly recommended you wear one whenever you cannot keep 1.5 metres distance from others.
Up to 100 people can meet outdoors in a public place. There is no limit on the number of households those people come from.
Schools are required to record the details of visitors
Religious gatherings can occur with no limits on the number of guests or attendees. To ensure people can keep 1.5 metres distance the venue must apply the  two square metre rule

Dear Parents/Friends,

Thank you to all of you who have been asking me each day how I am and how I have been settling in here at Trinity. Each of these conversations at drop off time or after school affirm all I have heard about the welcoming community that has been created here. This great strength is no doubt why so many people have chosen this school for their children and speak so highly of it in the Richmond community. I have really been struck by the wonderful and genuine manners shown by your children as they greet me and introduce themselves. You should all be extremely proud of each one of them. Of course this does not happen magically and I am sure that the partnership between parents and the great staff here has certainly helped to instil these great values in our children.

I have been doing my best to visit classrooms and am already very impressed with the calm and enthusiastic way our children have begun their learning. Our teachers are gaining important knowledge about each child, through their observations and testing to ensure that their work is targeted to their needs and is both

engaging and challenging. As we know, academic goals are one very important aspect of schooling but our teachers must also consider the wellbeing of each child and create an environment where each one feels safe and supported to achieve their best. Our staff work hard to ensure that a well organized classroom and timetable is in place with clear expectations, class rules and procedures to ensure a positive learning environment is created.

Parent and teacher Chats

Our Parent and Teacher chats, which are planned for next Thursday 11 February, from 1:30 - 5:30, will be a great opportunity for parents to share important information about their child/children. The letter attached above which outlines the steps and instructions for booking a time to meet with your classroom teacher. If you have any questions/concerns lease contact the office.
