WHATS HAPPENING IN 2021
- National Simultaneous Storytime - May - "Give Me Some Space" by Phillip Bunting
- Book Week / Book Fair - Term 3 - "Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds"
LIBRARY LEADERS - YR 6 AND YR 2
Already I have been overwhelmed with support from the student body asking to assist in the coming year. This is testament to the character of our students of whom I'm extremely proud. It's going to another amazing year in the library which translates into a positive and productive year of learning and reading for enjoyment in our school community.
BOOK CLUB - ORDERS DUE - WEDNESDAY 10th FEB
Brochures have been issued to all students in Yr 1 - Yr 6. All new students will also receive an information note.
For those of us not so new - a few key points:
*Parent payment using the online LOOP is very easy and a preferred option,
*Payment may also be cash or cheque - signed to St Nicholas School please.
*Money and order must be in an envelope or zip lock bag clearly marked with
NAME, CLASS, BOOK CLUB and returned to the Library.
Kindergarten will receive their brochure with an information note tomorrow - Friday
LIBRARY BAGS
Thankyou for assisting your child in presenting with a library bag to begin the year.
Students in Yr 5 and 6 may purchase a bag from the library $1.
This is a requirement on the Start of Year - Equipment List from Kinder to Yr 6.
LIBRARY BAGS MATTER
Not just some of the time but all of the time.
No food or drink on my books
Food and drink is for the chooks
Library bags keep ‘em clean
Books are cool don’t treat ‘em mean.
Bring your bag everytime
Fill it up and get in line.
Have it scanned and scoot on out
