Future Leaders 

As part of their application to be our 2021 Year 6 leaders, the Year 5 students have been busily planning, drafting, editing, revising, and publishing their leadership speeches. 

Leadership speeches in 2020 looked a little different from other years.  Due to Covid restrictions, students presented their speeches in front of their own classes, with the other Year 5 classes watching via Webex. 

We are incredibly proud of the effort that each student put in, and the respect they showed towards others during the presentations. 

When students in S39 were asked to describe what a leader is, they said:

“A leader acts with integrity” – Lockie Groves

“A leader inspires others to be their best selves” – Ruby Kiernan

“Leaders are kind and outgoing people” – Sienna Becker

“Leaders always help others and try their best” – Owen Byrne

“Leaders are always respectful, responsible and resilient” – Emma Panipasa
