Year 12
One week to go of classes. VCE students have in most cases finished all Outcomes for their subjects and are working through past exam papers and revision strategies for their up-coming exams. Exams are being held at the school, commencing with English starting at 9.00 am on Wednesday 29th October. Classes conclude on Thursday 25th October, after which students are welcome to return to the school to work in C12 or catch up individually with their teachers for revision. Staff will be free during the set class times, four days prior to the exam. Results will be available to students on 14th December. Staff at the school will be available to students to discuss course options if required. A representative from La Trobe will also be available, date and time tba.
VCAL students will be presenting their projects at The Connection. Students are finalizing Outcomes and getting staff to ‘sign off’ their completion.
A whole school assembly on Thursday 25th to farewell the Year 12’s. Friday will see Year 12 students invited to join staff for a B.B.Q breakfast at 7.30 am. This will be followed by a quick run through their presentation for their ‘Final Assembly’. Invitations have been extended to parents/guardians to join them in their celebration of 13 years of education. A morning tea will follow to facilitate a quieter staff, students and parents/guardians farewell. If parents have not received their invitations, please contact the school to enable us to cater and reserve sufficient seating.
The Valedictory Dinner will be held at the GV Hotel on Thursday 29th November to conclude the celebrations for the ‘Class of 2018’. Invitations have recently been mailed out outlining the cost and purchasing process. Tickets will not be available from the finance office until 12th November and require approval by Ms Bentley or Mrs O’Bree.
Year 11
Students are working towards completing their Outcomes. Subjects have been finalized and ‘Early Resource’ lists for English have been distributed. Full booklists and subject lists will be distributed soon. Year 11 exams will run in early November followed by their Year 12 Early Commencement Program. English books will be required for these classes.
Year 10
Our Year 10’s dressed up for their formal last night. Stunning dresses, heels, suits, fancy cars and loud music were the features of the night. Our award winners were ‘Best Dancer’ – Jess Eldred, ‘Best Dressed Male’ – Blake Armstrong, ‘Best Dressed Female’- Claudia McKenzie and ‘Best Arrival’ was shared by Rosie Watson and Will Laws.’ Photograph’s will be published next newsletter.
Subjects have been sorted for most Year 10 students and Early Resource lists for their English distributed. Year 10 exams will run in November followed by their Year 11 Early Commencement program- this program is essential for all students to enable them to understand the commitment required to be successful in Year 11.
2019 Debutante Ball
Expressions of interest will be distributed to students in Year 11 and Year 12 (2019). We are planning to run a combined year level event to enable this years Year 11 students to experience the event. Only students who are attending MSC may participate. Further information will be in our next newsletter.
