Year 12 Biology | Year 11 VCAL
On Friday 28th October our Year 12 Biology students sat their final end of year examination for Biology. We wanted to use this opportunity to look back and acknowledge some of the great work they have done throughout the year.
The Year 12 Biology students diligently and systematically developed their experimental design skills as they explored the role of catalase in different substances such as liver, potato and apple. They were able to design their own experiments whilst investigating the role of the enzyme pectinase in the fruit juice industry and finally extracted DNA from kiwis (the fruit).
We wish the Year 12 students the best of luck with their studies as they complete their final exams.
Thursday 10th November saw the Year 11 VCAL students head off on their end-of-year excursion to Le Mans Go Karting and a celebratory lunch in Dandenong. A great day was had by all.
