Wellbeing Team Update

Our Director of Wellbeing, Ms Lorraine East commenced her long service leave in April 2022 and has extended her leave to include all of Term 4 2022. Dave Goldsmith, who has been with Chelt.Sec since 2019, stepped in as Acting Director of Wellbeing in April 2022 through to the end of December 2022.

The Chelt.Sec Wellbeing Team members are made of the following fantastic people:

Dave Goldsmith: works across the multiple levels of the college's Principal and Subschool teams. Dave takes on the majority of our wellbeing cases, from the low to the high-risk student issues such as self-harm, anxiety, phobias or mental health. His role also includes coordinating the college's Wellbeing Team, including our visiting Monash student counsellor team and volunteer counsellor. Dave is available daily.

Matt Mottram: provides essential mentoring plus general wellbeing engagement. Matt is available daily, except Thursday.

Maddy Dyson: provides an important service to our young people as a mentor and general support. The Les Twentyman Foundation funds Maddy's role which allows her to engage with students both at school and at home with their families. Maddy is available at the college daily, except for Wednesday.

Nella Foley: provides vital Mental Health Nurse support for students such as critical incidents. Nella is available at the college daily except Wednesdays and every second Friday. In her absence, Dave is to be contacted.

Jenny: Monash University student counsellor, students enjoy her friendly personality on Wednesdays.

Amy: Monash University student counsellor, students enjoy her youthful energy on Thursdays.

Maria: volunteer counsellor, students enjoy her full of life vibrancy each second Monday.

Therapy Dog Patty: is onsite most days and enjoys any reason to grab some attention.

local Victoria Police youth team.
