VCAL

On the 20th of October, the Year 11 VCAL students visited Emerson School to run activities for the primary school children. They were helped by the City of Great Dandenong and the VCAL students of Emerson School. The activities were: the egg and spoon race, basketball, hand ball, mindful colouring in and tie dyeing.

"The Emerson School excursion was a big learning experience as I discovered that we are all basically the same, despite the struggles we face. This was my first time doing tie dyeing and not only did I get to do it myself but I was able to teach others this skill which was a fun experience."

"It was a really good experience as I got along well with the Emerson VCAL students and we bonded well together. I had to run an activity with the primary students who had to shoot basketballs through hoops. It was good to see them participating and excited. It was great that despite their challenges, the primary students were all willing to have a go." Maddy
