Year 9 and 10 Camps

Year 9 and 10 Camp to Marysville

It was with great excitement that our Year 9 and 10 students headed off to Camp Marysville two weeks ago.  After two years of covid interruptions, the chance to enjoy the great outdoors was one that was embraced enthusiastically by all students and staff.

With an emphasis on communication, teamwork and perseverance, the students courageously took on the challenge of bushwalking, rock wall climbing, abseiling, canoeing, initiative games, cooking and camping.

The Year 10s enjoyed blue skies and beautiful sunshine.  While the nights in the tent were brisk and chilly- they awoke to greet the day with smiles and determination to give everything a go and to push themselves outside of their comfort zones.  They showed fabulous energy and commitment with every endeavour.

The Year 9s enjoyed a different side of mother nature but the rain did not dampen their spirits as they embraced the elements and made the best of every activity.  They were awesome and we were so proud of their positive attitude and engagement.  While their time was cut short due to potential road closures, they made the most of every minute.

A big thank you to the OEG Camp Marysville Leaders who guided our students, as well as the support and dedication from our Killester staff who made it such a memorable and rewarding experience. A fantastic effort from all the Year 9 and 10s - well done on challenging yourselves and giving new experiences a go.
