Year 1/2 News

Welcome to Term 4!

We can't believe we are in our last term of the year already. The 1/2 team are all so proud of the students' growth in their learning so far this year. We are all looking forward to an exciting and busy term ahead!

Investigations

The students have been immersed in their new investigation areas for Term 4. Some new favourites have been the outdoor sensory kitchen, big box construction and lolly shop!

Wellbeing

During our wellbeing lesson last week, students explored their knowledge on optimism and how it connects to one of our four pillars; Hope.

It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon so we ventured outside and the students participated in a meditation and reflected on the small things they experience every day that makes them feel happy and hopeful.

Reminders

  • Students must have a hat to wear during break times.
  • Students wear a sports uniform every Tuesday and Thursday.
  • Students need to complete one activities on the 'Spelling Activities for Homework' rubric once a week.
  • This Friday (14th October) is Sports Day - students must be in their sport school uniform, but may wear a house coloured t-shirt.

Tinkering Items

We are asking for items that can be donated to our tinkering area. These items need to be safe for students to pull apart or disassembled (no glass or sharp edges). Please send your donations to school with your child. Grazie!
