St Raphael's Annual Sports Day

This Friday is our annual whole school sports day at Coburg Athletics track. This is a fun day where the students compete in a number of novelty events such as the sack race, egg and spoon and water relay. There is also a sprint down the front straight for all the students to enjoy. This is a great day for the students with lots of colour and excitement and everyone relishing the opportunity to represent their respective houses. Each event that the students compete in attracts points for their houses and at the end of the day all the points are tallied up to find the winning house. The successful house then gets their name added to the perpetual trophy which sits at the front of the school as well as the house which shows the most team spirit on the day. All families are welcome to attend and cheer on the students. The first event should start around 9.45 with the day wrapping up at about 1.30pm.

The 5/6 Girl's Basketball Team

Last term our 5/6 girl's basketball team were successful in winning the district tournament at Coburg Basketball Stadium. This Friday they get the opportunity to compete in the SSV Division Play Off at Diamond Valley against Thornbury Primary School. Good luck Girls!

Aquatic Education

After a two year hiatus our Aquatic Education program will return at the end of November and proceed through to December. This year we are heading out to the Thomastown Aquatic Centre for the program. Stay tuned for further details in the coming weeks.
