Recently in Hands on Learning students in one of the groups have been constructing boxes to be used in campus libraries. The boxes will be used to store large books.

During the building process students learnt to work in a construction line, with each student be responsible for completing a section of each box.  All students involved worked collaboratively and respectfully with each other.

We are proud of their efforts and contribution to the wider NBC community. Great work from all involved.

Extended School Day

EXTENDED SCHOOL DAY

The term 4 program started last week, and not even the rain could stop the program running! With many new students and lots of familiar faces it was lovely to see so many enjoying some of our new programs like circus fun, jewellery making and fluid art as well as our ever-popular soccer, messy art and science. A reminder that it is an expectation that students will be present at Extended School Day each week. If for some reason your child is absent for the week - unwell, an appointment or a commitment, then it is important that you inform the program organiser Amanda Baulch or your campus office that you are not able to attend that night. A failure to turn up and not inform staff will mean a $5 fine. Looking forward to sharing many new skills with your children.

PERFORMING ARTS

It has been exciting to hear the sound of Christmas Carols ringing through campuses as students start rehearsals for upcoming performances. The Day on the Greens, Federation Square, Market square Shopping Centre, The Kmart Christmas Wishing Tree and the Community Christmas Carols at the Shell Club are a few of the performances that Northern Bay will be performing in the next few weeks  With our purple Christmas hats, it is going to be very exciting to have our students out spreading Christmas Cheer and giving back to both our local and wider community.

The IMPACT students have been very busy since the start of the school term.

So much has been happening that we have made a separate page for all their activities.

Please check out their terrific outcomes.

Similarly with SEED there are some major initiates that we have loaded onto one page. Again please check that out.

There is the new and inspiring Run Club that Mr Diamond talked about in his page.

We have highlighted Cricket as part of our long standing relationship with the Lords Taverners Geelong.

We look also at the fantastic opportunity that all community members have to get on board the major International Beach Volley ball event soon happening in Torquay.

But a regular event on the SEED Calendar is the SEED Podcast talking about Careers with Ms Parcell
