Kindergarten 3 and 4 year old programs 2023

We are especially excited to offer fee free 3 and 4 year old funded kindergarten

Monday - Friday (15 hours) Please contact Mandy, Viv or Helen soon to guarantee places and avoid waiting lists. Please  make an appointment to visit our wonderful early years education and community facilities.  

Working in the Centre

With the increase in commitment to Early Childhood we are always desperately looking for Staff -  Casual and On-going. If you know of friends, family - or yourself looking for a change or scene, a return to employment or a first placement after your course please do pop and see us with your resume. We have waiting lists and would love to help our families with additional staff in our intimate and caring service.

Student Support

Being part of Northern Bay College has many great advantages for us and one is the ease of having senior students work alongside our team to gain skills and insight into Child Care and a possible pathway for their future.  Ka Yeh Wah (Cert 3) is a past student of NBC and Tegan is a current NBC work experience student hoping to gain her early years qualification in the future. A popular choice of career! There will be lots of work for her at our Early Learning Centre 

YEAR 10 Students

Last month's International Children's Week had the College Year 10 IMPACT class conceive, organise and implement a program with our Centre  Over our three days students planned a series of Art / Craft activities as well music and dancing activities for the four-year-old students in our school to learn and enjoy. As much as the senior students were very enthusiastic about providing these activities for the kinder students, our kinder students were overjoyed to have the Year 10 come over. 

We thrilled the BIG KIDS when the LITTLE KIDS gave them a  beautiful Thank you card made by the Kindergarten students. Mrs Baulch their teacher will display it in the Arts Department.

Our Facilities

We recently updated our Centre photos with some of the new spaces we now enjoy and at the same time caught some very happy faces of our beautiful children.

The Family Centre

Play… Learn… Connect @ the NBC Family Centre 25 Goldsworthy, Corio

We had a wonderful time celebrating Children's Week at the family centre. It was wonderful to be able to gather the community again as a group. We combined our Family Fun Day with the theme of Halloween and although the weather was very ordinary the children - and their grownups had a great time. The photos of the day as you have seen are priceless and we need to thank all the people at home for helping the children dress up. 

Celebrating Children’s week, it was invaluable to have Amanda Baulch and the Year 10 IMPACT students to create many fun and tactile activities with the kinder children. The IMPACT students made lots of sensory activities for the Family Centre Hallowe’en party. The party was a great success and well attended by lots of spidermen, dinosaurs, witches, skeletons, pirates and fairies in spite of the rain and wind.  Zoe from Corio Library read us a story and we all sang Hallowe’en songs. And of course the baby animals from Fun farm 2 U got lots of attention!

Now You See Us!

Thank you to the College Maintenance Team for the hedge trim outside the Family Learning Centre.

We had to prune back some of the overgrown natives and the end result is a much clearer view of the Centre.

There is a playgroup at the Family Centre each day of the week. It has been a joy to participate and watch these young groups grow. The playgroup families are fundamental to nurturing in the Family Centre, a feeling of friendship and community.
