Coghlan Quartet Auditions

The Coghlan Quartet is Mazenod’s premier string ensemble. Students have been invited to be part of the Quartet based on their musical ability. Since it’s inception, the Quartet has been invited to play at various College events throughout the year including Speech Night, Shrek The Musical, and the De Mazenod Oblate Staff Conference to name a few. 

This is not only a great honour for the students but is also an invaluable performance experience. 

Due to Graduation, the Coghlan Quartet is looking for a new violin player. Auditions will be held at lunchtime on Wednesday 2nd November in the Founders’ Complex.

Requirements:

• Must have minimum Grade 5 AMEB Violin.
• Need to prepare a 3 minute AMEB List equivalent piece.
• There will be a sight-reading test.

Expectations:

• Must attend lunchtime rehearsals on a weekly basis.
• Must be available to perform at functions when the Quartet is requested.
