Grade 1/ 2 Excursion to Ceres - Sustainability Inquiry

On Tuesday the Grade 1/2 students and their teachers went the CERES to learn about sustainability and how our actions can impact the environment. They had lots of fun on their excursion playing with worms, looking at the compost and how they can work towards keeping our environment clean and safe for everyone.

Below are some of the student's reflections and feelings about their excursion.

Ava:

I see a purple worm. I heard screaming children. I felt it squishing in my hand!

Thomas:

I see a squishy and gooey worm. I heard screaming and scared people!

Johnny:

I saw a filthy dirty rubbish sitting on the concrete. I heard the waves in the creek. It felt like I was at home.

Piper:

I see my fiends smiling. I hear a camera click! I felt Maddie's cold knee in my hand.
