Where are your Library books?

It is almost the end of the year and we are looking for our library books. We have started doing our stocktake where we check all the books with the records on our computer system. Students will get reminders from their teachers during November so that we can have all the books returned, ready for Early Commencement, where students begin work for 2023 in their new classes.

We would really appreciate your help in checking what you might have at home which has a St Augustine’s College barcode on the front cover. This shows it is a book belonging to the school. There will also be stamps inside with the school’s name on it (check page 13).

Read a good book lately?

This week the latest Bad Guys book arrived - number 16! There will be a line up to read this newest book in the series.

On Thursday afternoon we had our pre Foundation students (pictured in our banner photo above) visit the Library. The story for the session was Floof, about a cat called Floof. As you can imagine, it was fluffy and it slept all day and played all night. After the story, students drew a chalk drawing of a fluffy cat onto a black piece of paper. They left the Library with a showbag containing a book, bookmark and a flyer of information to be ready for 2023.
