Team Sports Excursion

On Friday 28 October, the Year 10 Team Sports students were given the exciting opportunity to go to Caribbean Rollerama and Rush HQ for some fun rollerskating and trampolining.

The first destination at Caribbean Rollerama set a lively atmosphere where students had the option to either rollerskate or rollerblade. With the wide range of students, from first time skaters to professionals, it was great to see everyone give it a go. Though there were some occasional collapses, it was a very enjoyable experience which brought a lot of fun and laughter.

Later in the day, the students travelled to Rush HQ where they got their adrenaline pumping. The venue was buzzing with excitement as students had free rein over what places they wanted to go, with activities including trampoline dodgeball, basketball, foam pits, rock climbing, high ropes courses and more. It was also great to see the teachers take a crack at some of the obstacle courses!

The bus ride back to school was much quieter than normal as everyone was extremely tired from such an exhausting day.

Overall, the day out was a great way for the Year 10s to have some fun in a stressful time as we near the end of the year. A huge thank you to Ms Vanstan and Ms Coffa for organising this memorable excursion.

Intermediate Table Tennis Girls off to the State Finals are winning Southern Metro Region!

On Thursday 27 October 2022, the Nossal High School Intermediate Girls went to the Dandenong Table Tennis Association to play Table Tennis in the Southern Metro Regional finals. All of us were excited and ready to have fun. We had some extra time to warm up which made us all feel a little more confident and it helped calm some nerves before the real game. We played three schools in our pool, Dromana Secondary College, Dandenong High School and MacRobertson Girls School, who had some great players. We played both singles and doubles to 11 points, (first to 3 games) and after some great rallies, good smashes and some fortunate net shots, we managed to win in our pool and made it to the final round! For finals, we played against Lakeside Secondary College and we won 4-2 qualifying for state finals!

After finishing all our games, we had some time to play for fun which brought out the laughter in us which was really the cherry on top. It was a day to remember for sure and big shoutout to the team (Caron, Marion, Julie, Mehar and Khushi) who were all amazingly talented and made the day that bit more fun. Last but not least, thank you so much to Mr Armistead who organised everything and coached us to be perfect in all our games. I cannot wait to see how we go at State (Wednesday 16th November), Go Nossal!!!!
