PFA AGM - Nominations for 2023 PFA Committee now open!
Dear OHR Parents,
The OHR Parents and Friends Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) is being held on Wednesday 30 November at 7.30pm in the School Library.
All parents are welcome - we would love to see you there!
The AGM will include the appointment of new PFA office bearers for 2023. With a number of existing members changing positions or leaving the OHR community, we are in need of a few volunteers.
We would especially welcome parents to nominate for the roles of:
- President
- Oversees the running of the PFA and chairs each PFA meeting.
- Works closely with the Vice-Presidents in a hands-on way to ensure all fundraising and social event requirements are met.
- Vice-President (Social events)
- Organises and coordinates with the President and Principal all social activities for the year.
- Leads the PFA with individual event coordinators for all social events and activities.
- Tuck Shop Co-ordinator
- Prepares rosters at the beginning of each term and Tuckshop price lists.
- Ensures fridges and pantries are fully stocked and maintained.
- Carries out regular cleaning of the Tuckshop and reports to the council inspector as required.
- Foodbank Co-ordinator
- The OHR Foodbank is a roster of parents who are willing to be called upon to provide a meal for school families during a time of need (e.g following the birth of a baby or during a time of illness or bereavement).
- The Coordinator organises meal rosters and acts as a trusted and confidential contact.
Besides the role of president, each of the above roles may be shared between more than one parent.

I encourage all parents to consider joining the PFA. It is a wonderful opportunity to be involved in your child’s school community, as well as play a part in initiatives that support the education and welfare of the children of OHR.
