Classroom Learning With 3/4W

In 3/4W, students have investigated Science and Change in Inquiry. They focused on human and environmental factors that affect habitats and chose an area of interest to conduct more research. 

Students had an option of the following focus areas to investigate: 

- Plastic Pollution 

- Introduced Species 

- Climate Change 

- Deforestation 

In collaborative groups, students researched, collected information and created a poster to answer specific questions related to their topic. They had to explain the causes and effects of their topic on habitats and the environment. The Inquiry linked to our focus on Explanation texts in Writing. Students had to carefully plan, draft and edit their writing before creating a poster with text features that explained their topic to the reader.
