Neighbourhood Assemblies
At Greater Shepparton Secondary College we hold regular neighbourhood assemblies. Sometimes they are by House and sub-school, for instance, Campaspe House Year 10 – 12. At other times, assemblies are held within neighbourhoods by Year level groupings. Assemblies are far more than just providing students with information; they are also a time for celebration and recognition. At the recent Senior assemblies held in each neighbourhood, awards were given out for the following:
- The top three individual students who had accrued the greatest number of positive acknowledgments in Term 3
- A random draw where a winner was picked from the pool of students who had an average attendance of 95% or better in Term 3
- The class with the greatest collective number of positive acknowledgements
Pictured above are Bekka Webster (Attendance award recipient), Andrew Kenttala and Vanessa Asante (Award recipients for the greatest number of positive chronicles). All three students are from Dharnya Neighbourhood. Well done!
