Charmaine Hayes (Class of 2016), now almost 21 years old, recently spent a month in Perth with Jackie Benton and family (Jackie is a former volunteer at MITS and now in WA for a couple of years with her husband’s work.)

Charmaine has written her resume and got her WWCC done, and she applied for a job at Howard Springs School as a teacher assistant and got the job😊.

Charmaine knows a teacher there from Ramingining and there are two other Indigenous women in the team. She is loving her new job already - she is working with the ‘little kids’ (Transitions).

Charmaine left Melbourne in 2020 to return to Darwin and had recently been working as a kitchen supervisor in the ALPA store. It was great to hear from Charmaine and for her to proudly share her most recent news and some photos!
