A recent report from the Black Dog institute noted the concerning rise of mental ill health amongst young Australians. It explored the possible reasons for these changes, such as decreased physical activity, poor sleep, and greater family stress. It also considers the relationship between depression and screen time.  Feedback from schools and parents supports what we are seeing in the latest research data.

Supporting the Mental Health of Young People

Wednesday 9 November, 6:30 PM (AEDT)

Join us for a free 1-hour webinar where our expert panel will discuss the risks for children, and the factors driving rising rates of depression in adolescents and depressive symptoms in children.

Panelists will identify some of the signs that parents and teachers should be looking out for in primary school aged children, as well as some of the skills we could be teaching to set them up for a mentally healthier life.

Most importantly, we’ll be asking the panel what action can parents, teachers, and the broader community take to help turn the tide on depression and support mental health in our schools and communities.
