Thu 24 -  Showcase Presentation Evening (6:30pm), including Great Wantirna College Bake-Off

Exciting News!

We are pleased to announce that the Food Studies Department are the recipients of a $3000 Coles Knox City Supporting your School Grant towards our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Programme. 

 

Coles will also be offering mentorship and advice, working bees, and gardening equipment and plants as part of the launch of their new store at Knox City.

 

Karen Priest will represent Wantirna College to receive the Grant cheque at the Grand Opening of the new Coles store on Wed 9 Nov.  We will also have student representatives of Food Electives at Year 9 & 10 (Yr 9 Fresh and Fast, Cooking around the World, Bakery Cafe and A Taste of Europe) that showcase our commitment to using fresh seasonal produce from the Kitchen Garden!

Year 11 Product Design Textiles

Ms Rumble’s Year 11 Product Design Textiles class are well on the way to completing their final outcomes for Unit 2. They have worked extremely hard this year to work independently and collaboratively in teams to produce a range of garments ready for this year's Art & Technology Showcase. We can’t wait to see them parade their garments down the red carpet on Thursday 24 November. Join us at this fantastic annual event featuring a gallery of works from our Year 11 and 12 Art & Technology students, featuring:

  • Product Design (Wood & Textiles)
  • Systems Technology
  • Studio Art (Student choice of medium)
  • Visual Communications
  • Media

The gallery will be open for students to vote on their favourite works from Monday to Thursday.

Awards will be presented by Special Guests at the Thursday Presentation Evening, which is open to the whole community.
