Farewell Ms Golder
On Thursday 27th November, the whole school said farewell and good luck to our assistant principal, Heather Golder. After 40 years of being a part of the Victorian Department of Education, Heather has taken leave and will then retire.
Heather has been a part of the Aberfeldie PS community for 16 years, and we have been lucky to have her as our Assistant Principal for 14 and a half of those years. Before working at APS, Heather worked at lots of different schools, including small rural schools, large multi-campus city schools, and she even taught in Philadelphia, USA! Many students, teachers and parents have been encouraged, guided and supported by Heather throughout her time in education, and in particular, her dedication in the area of student wellbeing. Heather will be missed by students, parents and staff.
While we are very sad to say farewell to Heather, we are also excited for what is ahead for her - she already has some exciting plans, and will be taking off to travel to Antarctica in early December! But before Heather embarks on her travels, she will return for the APS End of Year Celebration - Colour Fun Run.
We wish Heather congratulations and best wishes on her retirement.
