Prayer

Today is All Souls' Day and is a day of remembrance for the faithful departed.

Lord, we raise our hearts to you today for those who have passed out of this mortal life.

In your loving mercy, be pleased to receive them in your heavenly company.

For all the faithful who have died we pray, but in particular, for those dear to us, parents, relatives and friends.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.

May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed,

through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Blessed Edmund Rice, Pray for Us

Mr Timmins' Service

Last Friday's service was a beautiful and powerful celebration of the life of Mr Timmins. Our Lady of Dolours Church was full with family, friends, students and colleagues in mourning for the loss of a wonderful and generous person.  A beautiful father, a loving husband and a brother and friend to all.  The music was befitting Mr Timmins' extraordinary talent as a musician, conductor, teacher and our Coordinator of Performing Arts.  He is sadly missed by all.  Please continue to keep Mr Timmins and his family in your prayers.  We especially remember him during the month of November, and today, as it is All Souls Day.

Celebrating World Teachers' Day

The College celebrated World Teachers' Day on Monday with our new Student Leadership Team presenting a thank you present to all staff at the start of the day.  The events then continued with an Assembly where students thanked teachers for all their efforts not just today, but over the entire year, including a performance of some fantastic music by "Max Lenton and the band".

Visit from Br Frank O'Shea from Edmund Rice Foundation

Yesterday the College welcomed Br Frank O'Shea from the Edmund Rice Foundation who spoke to the students at Assembly about his work in Africa over the past 38 years.

Br Frank then also met with the students in the Edmund Rice Society and the Junior School students.  We were also able to enjoy a morning tea with Br Frank and Mr Jason Bongers, also from the Edmund Rice Foundation. Please see the Mission and Identity page for further information.

2022 NAPLAN Results

The College has received the 2022 NAPLAN results and it is pleasing to see that our overall scores continue to remain above state averages.  Information from these results will form a basis of areas of priority for the coming year.

For an in-depth analysis of our College results please see Mr Alex Damo's information in the Parent and Student Matters page of this Woodchatta.

Christmas Twilight Concert

We will be holding our Christmas Twilight Concert on Friday evening, 18 November.  It will commence at 5.00 pm in the Junior School playground (weather permitting).  Please come along to enjoy our music and drama ensembles in their final performance of the year. Don't forget to practise your singing to join in some carols.
