Welcome 2023 Prep Families

We’re publishing our newsletter to our new incoming Prep families!!  It is a great way for them to get to know our community and what is happening. Having been onsite for two orientations, they have been invited to join Compass and can now enjoy the rich material in the weekly newsletter. They will all be back with us on Thursday 10 November next week for the third orientation.

Uniform Swap

In a move to reuse and look to sustainable practices, a number of parents have banded together to trial a uniform swap shop! It is an invitation to dig through the bottom drawers at home and bring along all the outgrown Rosanna Primary uniform shirts, jackets, etc and take home some larger items! Pencil-in Friday 25 November after school in the Lower Building. 

One of our parents, Jackie Arbuckle, is coordinating the Swap. If you are able to assist please email her directly at jackie.arbuckle@yahoo.com.au.

Working Bee Saturday 5 November

We are eager to trim some trees, build a small fence and garden area outside the 2/3/4 Learning Area, complete some lawnmowing, blow the area outside the Lower Building and more. While our jobs are plentiful they will only remain dreams unless we have a few hands to help us out. We will be starting at 9:00am and finishing with a BBQ at about 12 noon. 

Hoorah For World Teachers Day!

A special thanks to our teachers who were celebrated last Friday during World Teachers Day. They received loads of letters from students in the morning and were spoiled with a morning tea. Celebrations gained pace with a pizza lunch provided by some of our families. For those of you at the assembly on Friday you would have been deafened by the cheers of students as teachers were presented with their own  ‘Teacher of the Week Awards!’

FORPS Fair Discussion - 10 November

A reminder to families that a special meeting has been called for friends and families of Rosanna Primary to discuss the viability of holding a School Fair in 2023. Please make sure that you read the FORPS news to find out more.

Video Arrival Pending …

There is the tang of anticipation in the air as we await the delivery of our 2022 ‘Once Upon a Time…’ Video that are due to arrive over the coming days. Please make sure your notifications are switched on in Compass so you can be alerted to the arrival and start the popcorn popping!
