The Growing Patch

Dear Lyndhurst Families,

We have exciting news: The Growing Patch Kitchen & Garden will be open during Parent Teacher Interviews!

We are delighted to announce that our school kitchen will be open for parents during the upcoming interviews! This is a fantastic opportunity for parents to get a glimpse into our kitchen garden program and discover the wonderful initiatives taking place in our school.

During the interviews on Tuesday, July the 25th, parents will not only get to see the kitchen in action, but they will also have the opportunity to explore our sustainable garden. Our garden is a testament to our commitment to environmental sustainability and provides fresh, organic produce for our school kitchen garden program. Come and have a look at the variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs thriving in our garden.

Additionally, we will be providing information and tips on how you can incorporate sustainable practices into your daily lives. Staff will be available to share their knowledge on reducing waste, conserving energy, and making eco-friendly choices at home. From simple actions like recycling and composting, we have a wealth of ideas to inspire you.

We believe that sustainability starts at home, and by sharing these tips, we hope to empower parents and students to make a positive impact on the environment. Together, we can create a greener future for our community.

By opening the doors of our kitchen and garden, we aim to foster a stronger connection between the school and our parent community. We believe it's essential for parents to be involved and informed about the food choices we make for their children, as well as the sustainable practices we implement.

We look forward to welcoming you to our kitchen and garden on Tuesday 25th July.
