Principal's Report

 Principal’s Report 21st July

School began with the usual buzz of excited staff and students welcoming Term 3. We look forward to the many experiences we share with our students and community. To start the term off, we had the following two events successfully take place.

Masterclass Event

Lyndhurst Primary School hosted a Community of Practice Masterclass Event on Wednesday 12th of July. This involved 6 local schools working together on ‘Be the Change' projects. The aim of these projects is to make the world a better place through focusing on one of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development goals. The students have worked extremely hard and look forward to presenting to the school community throughout the rest of this year.

Casey 360 Bus

The year 6 students enjoyed the experience of boarding the 360 Bus which parked itself at Lyndhurst last week. A mobile youth information centre for young people that services the suburbs of the City of Casey. The Casey 360 bus provides:

  • 2 youth workers

  • 7 LCD TV screens for movies and games
  • 3 Apple iMacs with internet access
  • 5 PS4s, a Nintendo Switch and iPads

THE SHEPPARTON RUNNING FESTIVAL - Sunday the 27th of August

Mrs Hunter will be running her first marathon (42.2kms) in The Shepparton Running Festival, one of Victoria's oldest running marathon festivals.

“It is truly an honour to dedicate this run to Craig Vorster (Mrs Vorster’s husband) and his family, who are coming to terms with Craig's recent brain cancer diagnosis. During my run I will channel the love, determination, and physical and mental strength that the Vorster family will create together as one, during this challenging time. The Vorster family have chosen my fundraising efforts to go directly to the Peace of Mind Foundation, an organisation who give support, courage and community to brain cancer patients, their carers, family and loved ones. From the bottom of my heart I thank you for helping me to support the Vorster family”. Here is Mrs Hunter’s fundraising link:
