Become a Catechist - During School Term Only

We are in need of additional Catechists to teach scripture in our local public high schools.

·         Strathfield Girls High School – 8.45am to 9.15am Tuesday mornings.

·         Homebush Boys High School– 1.00pm-1.30pm Tuesday afernoons.

St Vincent De Paul Winter Appeal

The St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal is still running this weekend. Your generous donation towards those doing it tough will be appreciated. Donations are tax deductible.

Offering Envelopes

New sets of 2023/24 Planned Giving Envelopes are now available for collection in the Church Foyer. Due to supply issues, these sets are slightly larger than previous years. We encourage all Parishioners to join the giving system by either Weekly Envelope or Monthly Credit Card as this is the main income of the parish, by means of which we run everyday expenses, funds projects and plan for the future. If you would like to join forms are available in the Church Foyer which can be returned via any collection plate or directly to the parish office.

Holy Father's Appeal

The annual Holy Father’s Appeal will be held across the weekend 24th and 25th June. This appeal, also known as Peter’s Pence, is a gesture of solidarity with the universal Church to support the works of the Holy Father Pope Francis.

Children's Liturgy 

We urgently need more volunteers to fill a rotating roster for the children's liturgy during the 10am mass. We are asking anyone that wishes to volunteer to please contact the Parish Office and provide your Working with Children compliance documents. We also encourage any senior school students who are enrolled in the Duke of Ed Award to utilise this opportunity to complete community time. Students under 18 are exempt from WWC compliance.

Save Calvary Hospital

Please sign the petition at savecalvary.com.au and share it with friends.  Let the ACT Government know that we want our Catholic hospitals to stay Catholic. This isn’t just about Calvary Hospital. If the ACT Government can do this to a Catholic hospital, what is to stop them from doing it to a Catholic school or aged care facility or welfare agency? What’s to stop the same thing happening to institutions run by other faith groups as well? It’s also not just an issue for the ACT. If the ACT Government is successful in this radical action, it could serve as a blueprint for other governments as well.
