A Message from the Principal

Mrs Carolyn Parsell

Dear Parents and Carers,

TTFM Survey

Congratulations!

156 parents have responded to the TTFM Survey! Many thanks. It is not too late to have your say. If you would like to have your response included please go to: http://tellthemfromme.com/stmartha2023

This survey happens each year and gives us an opportunity to see how we are going as a school and what we need to work on for continuous improvement.

The children will have an amazing treat on Wednesday of Week 10!

We will let you know what it is when the booking is confirmed!

Blessings

Our lives are full of little miracles. Last week we enjoyed our fabulous Athletics Carnival. Even though the day started out overcast and rainy at Strathfield, we relied on our weather forecasters, teachers and prayers to ensure we had the right conditions for a wonderful day of competition and celebration. The students displayed their skills on and off the field and supported their team mates. Our Colour House Captains did an amazing job of rallying their teams. Many thanks to our amazing parent volunteers and those parents who came to cheer us on from the hill. Huge thanks to our Carnival Committee and fabulous teachers and staff for making it a fun and safe day for everyone. For a full report head to the Athletics Carnival page.

Pentecost

As St Martha's Parish celebrated the sacrament of Confirmation last Friday we were blessed to have the opportunity to listen to Bishop Terry Brady as he spoke of God's love for us. Bishop Terry spoke about how love is central to our faith. The Holy Spirit gives us grace to show love to others. We look forward to seeing our newly confirmed students sharing the gifts of the Holy Spirit and producing the fruits of the Spirit.

Reports

As Term 2 ends we have the opportunity to celebrate the learning of our students in Semester 1. Having read the reports and reviewed the grades, I am very proud of the effort the students are making. Please ensure that you celebrate the successes. We look forward to meeting with parents at Parent Teacher the interviews in Week 10.

New Nanna

We welcome Lincoln Hunter Townsend to the world. Mrs Townsend became a Nanna on Sunday. Another wonderful blessing. We thank God for the blessing of new life and a beautiful addition to the Townsend family.

Peace and best wishes,

Carolyn Parsell
