Staff Member of the Month

Each month we celebrate one of the Walton staff members  by interviewing them! This month we are featuring the talented Miriam Fee.

How long have you worked at Hampton Park? I’ve worked at HP for 15 years

What do you teach? I teach visual arts subjects.

What is a hobby or interest you have outside of school? I like to visit coastal trails for exercise and sketching.

What is your favourite movie? I don’t have a single favourite but ‘Alice’ by Jan Švankmajer is among my top picks. It is a surreal stop-motion version of ‘Alice in Wonderland’.

What is your favourite book? ‘The Miniaturist’ by Jessie Burton

Favourite quote or words to live by: "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." Oscar Wilde

Reading House Points

In 2022 Walton came in first in the House Reading Challenge. We are trailing behind this year, but we have a semester to catch up! So please, if you’ve read a book recently, please write up a review, send it to Mr Shinkfield and you’ll score 50 house points and go in the running to receive a book prize at the end of the year!

Uniform

A reminder that all students are expected to be in full school uniform. This means the academic uniform, or the sports uniform. Students can’t mix and match the academic and sports uniform. A reminder that as we head into winter, hoodies are not permitted nor are puffer jackets. Please ensure you contact Walton for support if you require assistance in obtaining a uniform. As a whole, the uniform at HPSC has been looking amazing. Let’s keep it up!

Attendance and lates

Attendance has improved so much since last year, well done to all students and families for prioritizing attendance. Please continue to let us know the reason for an absence if it occurs. At HSPC we want students to be having access to as much learning time as possible, so please remember to come on time, all the time 😊

Thank you
