Across Term Three and Four, teachers will be delivering the RRRR content of Topics 7 & 8, with the aims of teaching students to understand the harmful impact of gender stereotypes on individuals and learn the skills needed to engage in safe and respectful relationships both at school and at home.
Last Friday, each teaching team met with the Department of Education Respectful Relationships Liaison Officer to collaborate and plan for Respectful Relationships implementation in Semester Two.
Working together, teams unpacked the Topic 7 and Topic 8 RRRR curriculum, aligned lessons to Zones of Regulation framework, and chose lessons to embed within their planning documents that best suited the needs of student cohorts across the school. This session allowed teaching teams to come together to develop a consistent and universal delivery of RRRR school wide.
The learning of this content will better enable students to recognise the rights of everyone to live a safe, happy and respected lifestyle regardless of who they are.
