YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FORUM

Students from Year 10 recently attended the annual Youth Mental Health Forum held at Wagga Wagga Christian College. It brought together representatives from mental health providers, community, local council and government with young people from schools to learn about, discuss and initiate some positive change to the youth mental health issues across the Riverina.

Students who were selected to go will now work towards implementing an action plan back at school they developed on the day in the future.

PUSHING FOR BETTER MENTAL HEALTH

Students are taking part in the Push Up Challenge in Homegroup each morning to raise awareness for better mental health. College Captain Josh Shaw who is passionate about better mental health is facilitating this, encouraging students to talk about mental health and what they can do to look after themselves. The challenge will conclude next Friday.
