Senior Unit - 5/6

Welcome to Term 3!

This term is again going to be jam-packed with exciting activities and learning for our senior students. In Maths, we are beginning a unit on fractions. We are also learning about the world with our Geography topic where students will research a country from Asia, North America or Europe. In Literacy, the students are beginning a poetry unit, where we have started to learn different styles of poetry that we will use to create our own poetry to share with our peers, later this term.

Here are some of our couplet poems:

Look at her sleeping, soft and sound

Wait till morning creeps around. (Matilda SU3)

Thunder, wind, tornado is coming fast,

Dorothy gets picked up, gliding past.

Landed in a strange new place,

And she landed on her face! (Izzy SU3)
