House Athletics Carnival/Aths Fun Day
A fabulous day was had by all at our Athletics events last Wednesday. We were extremely lucky with the weather and being able to get through our full program. A big thank you must go to the Warrandyte High School students who helped with setting up and then the running of the Year 3-6 program. Also to all the parents who helped out with the Year Prep-2’s program to ensure that they all knew what they were doing and that they all had fun.
The results on the day were:
1st Place: Brackenbury 212
2nd Place: Anderson 192
3rd Place: Forbes 191
4th Place: Yarra 183
Congratulations to all Brackenbury students on their win.
Students who now qualify to compete at the District Athletics will be notified and will go to Doncaster Athletics Track on Thursday 31st August.
Open Teeball
Our very talented team of Dash, Mack, Emmett, Kye, Charlie, Nash, Mitchell, Elliot, Baxter Sm, Jai, Dan and Gabe went through the District Round Robin day being undefeated with fabulous fielding and amazing batting to become Premiers of the District. The Division level was played yesterday at Milgate Primary and these boys were again victorious now going on to play in the Regional Finals on Monday 21st August at Waverley Softball Centre. We wish them luck!
Thank you very much to Brigitte Easton and Deanna Poole for transporting the boys to these venues.
Cross Country/Fun Run Fundraiser
A HUGE thank you to the Warrandyte School community for supporting this fundraiser. $3,500 was raised to go towards a defibrillator for the school and a sign (Charlie’s Shed) for the sport equipment shed that Charlie Clarke raised money for last year. Jarvis Barton and Darcy White were the greatest fundraisers, each raising $250!! They were both able to choos 2 pieces of sporting equipment each.
All students who raised more that $45.00 had their name put in a bucket and ten student names were pulled out to select a piece of sporting equipment.
Lap-A-Thon
Finally our medals for our lap-a-thon winners arrived and were presented at Assembly last Monday. These students were the top two lap runners in each year level.
