St A's Sports Report

In this week's Sport Report, we would like to recognise the efforts across the last few weeks of Term 2.

Across this term, we have achieved some amazing results and would like to showcase the results of many of our St A’s superstars.

Firstly, we would like to acknowledge the 5/6 Interschool Sport Teams who have represented our school on each Friday morning this term.

Our students have competed against all the schools in the Bayside District in Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer, Girls Netball, Mixed Netball and Mixed AFL.

In rain, hail or shine, our students gave their best efforts at all times and finished off the season with a Lightning Premiership day at Ballam & Jubilee Park.

Congratulations to all students on a thoroughly enjoyable season and we look forward to seeing you thrive in future district events.

We are also pleased to announce that our Mixed AFL team finished 1st overall in their competition and will continue to compete at the Divisional competition in Term 3.

Great work to all involved and we will follow your journey next Semester.

To kick off our Basketball block, our Prep’s combined forces with the stars from the First Early Learning Centre in Frankston to take part in the South East Magic’s skills clinic. Being joined by some of our senior students, the young and up and coming stars took to the court to showcase their dribbling skills through obstacles of all varieties.

As we are continuing on with dribbling and shooting over the coming weeks, we look forward to watching our juniors develop their skills on the court. Get ready Prep M, you will have a final session on Monday 19th June. Good luck!

Lastly, we would like to congratulate Marqus Chunga who recently finished up his experience with the School Sports Victoria Basketball trials. Marqus made it to the last stage of the trials, making it through trials that began with hundreds of students from all over the state.

Great work Marqus, it has been fantastic to follow your journey with the team and we are extremely proud of your efforts.

We hope everyone enjoys their holiday break and we wish all of our St A’s superstars the best of luck in Semester Two.

Go St A’s!
