First Eucharist

This Sunday some of our Grade 4 students will complete the sacrament of Eucharist.  Eucharist is the sacrament that is at the heart of our faith and gives us our Christian identity. It is the sacrament that nourishes and strengthens the whole community and indeed makes us ‘Church and Body of Christ for the world’. The Eucharist is the sacrament that completes the process of initiation into the Christian community. When candidates share in the sacred meal of the Christian community for the first time, they do so as fully initiated members.

Please keep our students in your prayers as they completed their initiation into the Catholic Church.

Staff Leaving

Miss Monique Kay will be travelling overseas for the remainder of the 2023 year.  Monique has been an amazing asset to St A's, with her quiet calming personality, attention to detail and her care and concern for all of her students.  She will be greatly missed and we wish her all the best as she makes some new memories as she travels and look forward to her return!

Mr Jack Butland will be moving onto a Secondary School in Cranbourne, that is brand new.  Jack will join the large PE department and work along side a team of other PE teachers to facilitate PE classes and larger sporting events.  This is a great opportunity for Jack in a different role.  We thank Jack for his contribution to St A's - beginning as an LSO, moving to classroom teacher and then onto PE teacher.

Staff Arrivals

Miss Lauren Northcott will be joining the Grade 5/6 team to replace Monique K.  Lauren has moved from teaching Grade 5/6 at St Kevin's in Hampton Park.

Mrs Sam White will be joining the Prep team 2 days per week!  We are very excited that Sam is joining the team and has been in the Prep area this week, engaging with the students and getting to know their strengths and skills.

Miss Carly Hunter will be taking on the role as PE teacher.  Carly has studied a Physical Education degree and is ready to take on the role.

Miss Taryn Bartlett is returning to St A's to take of Grade 5/6 on a Friday to replace Mr Butland in the classroom.

Wild Life Wednesday

A big thankyou to Evie and Eva for their time and effort putting together the Wild Life Wednesday Fundraiser.  The funds raised will go the WWF.  Overall the tally was $294.00!

Well done and thank you to all!

Have a fabulous winter weekend as we begin winter!  Stay warm!

God Bless
