Visual Arts

The 5/6 students completed their work on caricatures this week, adding tone through cross hatching and colour using soft pastels.

Stunning!

The 3/4 students reviewed the Indigenous story of Tiddalik the frog. They were shown how to use shapes as a starting point for drawing, then drew an animal from the text (or not) and included some of its habitat. This design was then transferred onto printing foam, ready to be printed this week.

The 1/2 students did some ripping last week!

Again using the work of Juan Miro as inspiration, the students tore pieces of red, yellow and blue paper before arranging these pieces and gluing them down with a partner. This week we will paint them…

Students in Foundation worked on collage last week, continuing on with the theme of houses. Using large pieces of pre-cut squares and triangles they made a house, then added doors, windows and extra details.
