Welcome back to Term 3. We are set for a busy final term ahead, particularly for our General Year 12 students who are now in their final term! Just a reminder to all to make sure you're staying on top of classwork and deadlines and seek out staff if you need assistance.
OLNA
Our Year 12 students have started our latest round of OLNA. For anyone needing to reschedule or sit a make-up session, please see Miss Sharpe in Week 2 or Mrs Aynsley in Week 3.
Mathematics – Miss Alannah Smith
Play-based education allows students to connect and practice academic knowledge through practical fun games. In General Mathematics we have been learning about time both 12-hour and 24-hour time, so what better game to play then ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf’ adapted to only use 24-hour time. This required students to quickly convert the 24-hour time to know how many steps to take. We also played the classic ‘Battle Ships’ game when learning about coordinates and mapping, students had a blast, literally blasting their component’s ships.
