Year 11 Camp

The camp was really fun and interesting, all of the teachers that went to camp with us took care of us really well and they participated in the activities with us as well. One of the activity, low ropes, was definitely my favourite. Thinking of strategies and solving them with our teammates definitely helped us build a better understanding and relationship with each other. On the first night, the night walk definitely left a lot of memories, Mr Roscoe getting us lost and walking back, playing music and just chatting while enjoying the view definitely added to the trip. The campfire on the second night was also really fun, cooking marshmallows with friends and just sitting by the fire was really cozy, Mr McKinnon playing the guitar with us singing to it was definitely a memorable night. The bus trip to and back was pretty chill and when we stopped at the park for lunch with the nice view was really good as well. The camp in general was definitely great and fun.

Last week the year eleven cohort persisted through a five-hour bus ride to the Grampians where we arrived at Rose’s Gap Recreation Centre. There we got to participate in a variety of thrilling activities including abseiling, vertical playpen, and a giant swing. We also took part in other exciting ventures such as canoeing and raft-building, and low ropes; we also had time to take in the incredibly scenery on a bushwalk through beehive falls. If you were unlucky enough to be in Mr. Roscoe’s group, you might have gotten a little wet during canoeing and by a little wet I of course mean fully submerged in the water. All in all, it was a great time to get to know our peers and teachers better while doing fun activities.
