Ms Brea Terris

Dear Families,

Welcome back to Term Three.  We hope that all families enjoyed the school holiday break.

NAPLAN

Today students in Years 3 and 5 who sat NAPLAN will receive their results. I am very proud of the students who completed NAPLAN and the results they have achieved. The initial data that I have looked at shows that we are working at the same level as other similar schools.

This data is showing how well our students are performing. We will be using this data to support our students and continue their journey in those areas.

This data is important to our planning to ensure each child has their own individual goals. Over the next few weeks, we will receive more data from NAPLAN and I look forward to sharing that with the community.

Term 3 Calendar

The Term 3 Calendar is enclosed in the newsletter. Please keep an eye on this page for upcoming events.

Student/Parent/Teacher Chats

Next Thursday 27th July is our next round of Student/Parent and Teacher chats.

Bookings are now open on Sentral. Please contact the office if you need help with bookings.

Please note students only attend for the time of their booked interview. The school does not run as a normal school day. Attendance will be marked when students attend their interview.

Sentral Pay

At the beginning of this term, we included Sentral Pay in the Sentral Parent Portal. Sentral Pay allows parents to pay for excursions, camps, etc on the Sentral Parent app. To use this function it is important that the app is updated to the latest version.

We hope parents enjoy the convenience of this new feature.

Supervision in the morning

Recently many of our Country Bus times have changed in the morning so students are arriving at school after 8.30 am.

Supervision at school begins at 8.30 am. Thank you for your help in ensuring students are not dropped off earlier than 8.30 am.

Our Out of School Hours care program at St Mary's runs a morning program for families who require it.

Bus Signage

Recently the signage out the front of the school has changed in the bus bay. The bus bay now has no parking at the start and end of the school day.

SHRCC has recently installed these signs. Please ensure you are observing these signs to make sure all students are kept safe. The Council and Police will be monitoring these new signs.

Have a nice weekend.

Kind regards,

Brea
