Out of Uniform Day

THE BETTER TOGETHER ALLIANCE 'OUT OF UNIFORM DAY'

Wednesday 29th March ~ Gold Coin Donation

Funds raised on this joint fundraising day will go to the LIFT OFF GOULBURN VALLEY EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP.

The Goulburn Valley Education Scholarship Program, established in 2014 and known as Lift Off, is an initiative of The Community Fund Goulburn Valley in collaboration with the Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project.

The aim of the scholarships is to increase the number of young people from the region who are able to pursue their dreams for post-secondary education and is a response to studies showing that young people from non-metropolitan regions in Victoria defer university studies at twice the rate of their metropolitan counterparts.

The funds raised by the 4 schools of the Better Together Alliance will go towards a scholarship that will be named after the BTA and will be directed towards supporting a student from the BTA for their future studies.  This fund raising event will be an annual day to continue the scholarship into the future.

2017 Production - 'GREASE'

OVERVIEW:

The Better Together: Alliance students are putting on their leather jackets and shining their dancing shoes, as they prepare to rock n’ roll in the 2017 musical production of Grease!

Inspiring the 1978 classic movie musical, ‘Grease’  tells the story of a summer romance between good girl Sandy (played by Nicola Vilanni) and greaser Danny (played by Riley Ciavarella) who fall in love, but believe they will never see each other again because Sandy is moving back home. However in a twist of fate, Sandy stays and unknowingly enrols at the same high school as Danny. But the peer pressure from both of their cliques make their relationship all the more complicated. Performing hit songs like “Summer Lovin’” and “Greased Lightning”, audiences are sure to be singing along to this popular musical that is simply not to be missed!
