SCHOOL REVIEW

Over the past two weeks we have hosted a School Review team, made up of four ex-principals. They have spent time in several of our classrooms, speaking with students and staff about the school and to discuss how we may be able to improve our results further. I will provide a summary of their findings early next term.

PARENT-TEACHER INTERVIEWS

The Parent/Teacher interviews will be held on Thursday 30th March from 5:00pm till 8:00pm and Friday 31st March from 9:00am till 12:00 noon.

This year we are again using the online booking system.

Interviews will be scheduled for a maximum of 5 minutes and parents are able to make a booking through the XUNO parent portal. Bookings are now open.

An item called Parent Teacher Interviews is available for you to select in the XUNO parent portal. You can book appointments with individual teachers or use the auto-book feature to book all your interviews with just one click. The map (later in School News) shows the location of staff members for the Parent Teacher interviews. To save time and to keep to schedule, we suggest that you try and book all the teachers in the same location before moving on to teachers in different rooms.

VMG SELECTIONS FOR Semester 2

This Thursday, 23rd March, students in Years 8, 9 and 10 will receive an information sheet explaining the online selection process for VMG units in preparation for semester 2. The reverse of this sheet will list all the unit offerings for each Learning Area for semester 2. The website will be available from this day until Friday, 21st April, the first Friday of Term 2. We encourage students to seek advice from their classroom teachers and Home Group teachers before completing their online selections. Also Parent/Teacher interviews are an excellent opportunity for parents to discuss their child’s selections for next semester with their current classroom teacher. Bring the information sheet with you to these interviews as a guide.

LAST DAY ARRANGEMENTS

The last teaching day for this term is Thursday 30th March. This is a full school day with an assembly at lunchtime and the day concluding at the normal time of 3.20pm.

COMMENCEMENT OF TERM 2

The first day of Term 2 is Tuesday 18th April.
