This month lots of special things have happend, such as the T20 Interschool Cricket competition. We congratulate all of the people who participated in it, and every team went really well and tried their hardest. All the people that did it also got a squishy cricket ball which was a nice bonus.
We also had an Open Day last week and lots of parents came to have a look at the school. They all seemed to like the look of our school, so we hope next year we will be having lots of preps.
It is sad that the sports carnival and the senior camp got postponed, but we are really lucky that Mr D managed to rebook and we are now due to have them both in September. So now everyone has lots of time to practise for the athletics.
Lastly, we hope everyone has a really good and safe holiday. We have decided to hold a competition over the holidays to help everyone stay at home as much as possible, Itś really important these holidays to self-isolate. This means not going out with friends or to public places, like the movies. We know that sounds like a really boring holiday, but it will help to stop the spread of the coronavirus and let us get back to our normal life.
So we are asking everyone to keep a journal over the holidays showing us things you have been doing at home for fun. The journal can be any way you want it: written in a book or on paper, drawings, painting, sculpture, a movie or video clips, photos. Keep a log of all the things you have been doing at home, like reading, playing board games, making up exercise routines in the backyard, doing craft. Whatever you do to fill your time.
Be as creative as possible, because everyone that enters will get a small prize. There will be a SUPER PRIZE for the 3 people with the most creative entries: one from each of juniors, middles and seniors.
Entries are due by the end of the first week back at school. You can put them in your classroom office tub, straight to the office or email them to us.
Have a great break and see you in Term 2.
