YEAR 7 CAMP
MT ELIZA
The Year 7 students who attended Camp Manyung in Mt Eliza enjoyed three days of exciting and challenging activities. In small groups, our students rotated through various stations which included the Giant Swing, High and Low Ropes Courses, Crate Climbing and Raft Building as well as Leadership and Team Building games. Our kids showed that they were adventurous and up for tackling anything which was great to see. The fantastic weather we enjoyed during the first two days of the camp certainly added to the overall enjoyment of the trip. Thank you to all the students who attended and especially to our wonderful staff members for making the camp so enjoyable.

MT EVELYN
From Wednesday the 19th until the 21st of April, 7H, 7I, 7C and 7D camped at Mt. Evelyn situated in the beautiful foothills of Mt. Dandenong. The students rotated through a variety of challenging group activities designed to develop a sense of resilience, teamwork and an appreciation of the natural environment. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed all activities including; high ropes courses, mountain biking, archery, giant swings and animal encounters. On day one, we hiked from Silvan Dam into camp, the 4.5 km walk taking us through some amazing forests characterised by ferns, icy streams and towering mountain ash. Having settling into their cabins, the students commenced activity rotations immediately. After dinner, teams of students battled it out in a mega-quiz that was enjoyed by all. On day two, we were up early and spent the day rotating through all of the activities that the camp offered. It was great to see our students challenging themselves and supporting each other. We roasted marshmallows over a campfire that night and settled in for a movie before bed. The weather turned on day three, but the students did not let that dampen their enthusiasm. The kids conducted a straw tower making challenge to finish the camp and suddenly we were on the bus home. All students are to be commended on their excellent behaviour, enthusiasm and willingness to step outside of their comfort zones and challenge themselves. A big thank you to all of the staff involved for what was a really successful three days.
