VMG DRAMA
An enormous thank you and congratulations are extended to the VMG Drama students this semester for their wonderful performance 20 Reasons Not to be in a Play. It is rare that all students in a class work collaboratively as a single group for the bulk of a semester. It is this that makes VMG Drama and incredibly challenging but also a very rewarding subject. Students consistently rely on their cast-mates for attendance, support and of course the delivery of lines! In this regard, Drama teaches students so much more than just skill and confidence as an individual performer. Although this is important, the VMG students this semester have truly demonstrated they have extraordinary team work skills, huge amounts of dedication, a strong understanding of obligation and a keen sense of humour (invaluable when working with others so closely!) which will be of benefit throughout their school lives and beyond. This play in particular required a large number of the cast to be on stage for most of the performance and visible transition from scene to scene. It also included audience interaction and the creation of detailed stagecraft to compliment the action. Our students pulled it all off in a very professional manner. For all their hard work and the incredible commitment they have shown, thank you and well done!
