Current Year 12 Students - Key Dates
University Entry
Students who have applied to universities for 2019 need to be aware that January 3 2019 is the final deadline to change preferences for equal consideration in a course. This year, some courses may make first preference offers on Thursday 20 December, just following the SACE results period. The main first round offers to university will commence on Tuesday 15 January and will be emailed to applicants by 5.00pm. Further course offers will be made throughout January. An up to date email address is very important in order to receive and respond to offers.
On the day of Year 12 results release and the following days, all South Australian universities will be open for business to help students who may not have achieved the ATAR they required. Students can ring up or visit the universities to discuss their options with staff regarding pathways into the course of their choice. Check the exact times and dates on individual university websites.
TAFE Entry
Students wishing to apply to TAFE or needing a back-up plan for university should do so before Friday 14 December to be considered in January 1st round TAFE offers. Students may list up to 3 preferences for courses. All applicants will need to sit the Core Skills Profile for Adults as part of the application process. This is undertaken at a TAFE Campus or on-line and usually takes up to 2 hours. This also needs to be completed by Friday 14 December to be considered in the first round of offers so early application is advisable. Information regarding applying and enrolling at TAFE is available on the TAFE SA website. Applications can be made via the TAFE Website or directly with SATAC. There is no cost to apply to TAFE.

SACE Results Release 2018
All SACE Stage 2 results will be released on Tuesday 18 December from 8.30am. Students can access these results by logging onto SACE Students Online and entering their SACE registration number and PIN. If the site does not prompt for a PIN students need to make sure they are attempting to access Students Online and not Schools Online. Should students need to reset their PIN they can use the PIN reset function on the login screen. It is recommended that students check their account and access well prior to Tuesday 18 December.

Year 10 Mock Interviews
We are thankful for a range of regular and new community volunteers who supported our Mock Interview program during Week 4. Our Year 10 students were given the chance to participate in the job recruitment process by compiling a cover letter and resume. They then participated in an interview with one of our volunteers. Students were provided with feedback on their performance and areas to improve. This great opportunity provided our students with a range of purposeful skills which will ensure they are well equipped to seek part-time employment during their senior years if they so choose and develop resources that will be useful into the future.
