Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea and Cupcake Day - Tuesday 6th June
Every year, Carnegie Primary School participates in the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea, with two fun activities, one for parents and one for students.
All proceeds from both events go directly to the Cancer Council.
Parent Morning Tea
Please join us in the staff room from 9am on Tuesday 6th June for a cuppa and some great food and company! Donations (cash or online) on the day.
Cupcake Day for students
Cupcakes will be available to purchase at recess for $2 (cash only)
We do need some help making this worthwhile and fund day a success! If you are able to help bake a batch of cupcakes (or something for our morning tea) please add your name to https://signup.com/go/rfQFDNp (more details also available there about what cupcakes are needed, where to bring them etc.) You can also use this link to sign up to help sell cupcakes at recess on the day.
Egg Fundraiser
Thank you to those families that ordered free range eggs - we have raised almost $200 through this activity! Please remember to collect your eggs this Friday afternoon. Please enter the Prep building from the Truganini Rd side (near the small sandpit), from 3:20pm (following the student assembly) this Friday, 2nd June.
PFA Popcorn Days
PFA Popcorn Fridays have been a hit! Thank you to all the PFA parent helpers who have volunteered their time to make them happen. Please join us one Friday if you can - you can put your name down via SignUp.
Popcorn will be on sale to students in Grades Prep - 2 on Friday 9th June. Popcorn will be on sale to students in Grades 3 - 6 on Friday 2nd June and Friday 16th June
Popcorn is $1 a bag. Ingredients are gluten and dairy free.
PFA Sushi Day - Thursday 15 June - orders now open in Qkr
The Term 2 PFA Sushi Fundraiser will be held on Thursday 15th June and orders are now open in Qkr. Sushi days are a great fundraising initiative, supported by local Carnegie business owner Ming, from the Carnegie Central (Koornang Rd) Woolworths Sushi section.
How / where do I order?
When ordering, please make sure you do so through the ‘PFA Fundraising & Events’ Menu in Qkr, rather than the regular lunch order menu.
When do orders close?
Orders can be placed in Qkr until midnight on Monday 12th June.
Can I cancel my order?
If necessary, orders can also be cancelled up until midnight on Monday 12th June - see instructions on page 4 of the Qkr guide on the school website for help with cancelling an order. You will receive a credit in Qkr that can be applied to future PFA purchases. Unfortunately in the event that students are absent on sushi day, and the order hasn’t been cancelled in Qkr by the cut off time, we are unable to offer a refund.
Thank you for your constant support!
Celebrating the women of CPS
On Thursday 18th May 60 CPS Mums, of children from across all year levels of the school, enjoyed a lovely social event, at Rodolfo’s in Ormond.
It was a great night of delicious food and drinks, and wonderful company, catching up with friends, and making new connections.
Thank you to all who attended, and supported the raffle on the day. The raffle was the fundraising component of the event, and raised around $300 for the school, which is amazing!
Huge thanks to Elle Cato and Sandra Michela for organising the breakfast, and to the following generous supporters who donated prizes:
