Sports Update

PSSA Soccer Girls Knockout
Unreal effort from our Oak Flats PS soccer girls last Thursday, winning 3 games out of 4. Our results were 4-3 (in extra time), 9-0 and 9-1 against Flinders, Port Kembla and Minnamurra. Unfortunately giving it their all, but losing 2-0 to Shell Cove. The real winner of the day was soccer and the friendships built!!
Mr Herzog would like to thank the girls for the effort and their parents for all of their wonderful support!!!
PSSA Rugby League Knockout
The rugby league boys took on the best of the best at Cec Glenholmes Oval recently.
It was a perfect day for rugby league and the boys tried as hard as they could! Unfortunately, the results didn’t go their way. But that’s just the great game for you!
PSSA Touch Football Knockout
The Oak Flats' boys and girls touch football teams gave it their all at the PSSA gala day at Thomas Dalton Park on Friday, with the girls winning 3 games and the boys winning 2. Unfortunately, both teams came up short in their finals. Both teams gave a massive effort and they made their coach, Mr Herzog, and their school super proud!
NSW PSSA Primary Girls Basketball Championships
A special shout out to Polly H. who travelled all the way to Tamworth to participate at the NSW PSSA Primary Girls Basketball Championships. Over the four days, Polly played in many basketball games where she demonstrated her outstanding coordination, throwing and catching skills, communication and sportsmanship. When Polly returned to school, she was beaming as she informed Miss F and 5F about her time and how much she enjoyed it!
NSW PSSA SC Cross Country Championship
On Thursday, 8 June 6 competitors from OFPS participated in the PSSA SC Cross Country Championship. Sophie S, Nathan H, Logan M, Sienna R, Lilly M and Layla P competed on the Wilandra Cross Country Course at Cambewarra. All students demonstrated their skills, sportsmanship and pride when representing our school. A special shout out to Sienna R who placed 4 in the 11 Year Girls and will participate at the NSW PSSA Primary Cross Country Champions on Friday, 21 July. We wish her all the best!
